Our Submission Guidelines
Helpful Living Magazine is growing rapidly. Starting 2021 our issues will come out quarterly. The growth of the magazine is requiring us to come out more often, which means we are giving more information, stories, interviews, and more. We want to thank you for your support and download our digital versions or order our previous issues if you haven’t done so already. We also have a year subscription service set up for readers to receive our magazines quarterly.
I want to be the first to thank you so much for your interest in submitting an article to Helpful Living Magazine. Our goal is to educate, grow, and help those heal who are dealing with mental health issues. Mental health is so prominent and in today’s society as we faced the pandemic, loss of jobs, and the struggles we face internally. Helpful Living Magazine wants to be a part of the change in mental health growth. In order to do this we are cultivating a magazine as well as our website to become a HUB for mental health.
Overall, this magazine is not to diagnose individuals. It is to inform consumers about mental wellness and anyone who is interested in understanding strategies, and the dynamics of mental health. Individuals submitting their articles should be based on professional or personal experience.
When you write for Helpful Living Magazine you are helping others during their mental health journey.
We do not pay for articles, however we do allow you a space where you can promote your brand and social media platforms within the article.
Once your article is published and sent to you feel free to share with your family, friends and social media followers!
Who qualifies to write in Helpful Living Magazine?
- Individuals with lived experience of mental health
-Bloggers who likes to write on mental health topics
- Individuals who worked in the mental health field
- Licensed as a clinician/psychologist
-Medical physicians
-Parent or family member who worked closely with someone that has a mental health diagnosis
-Wellness instructors: personal trainers, yoga instructors, nutritionist & life coaches
Pitch your idea before sending in your article. One your article is approved you will be given the okay to submit. In addition, let us know why you feel you are a great candidate as a contributor in our magazine.
In the subject line indicate what topic your article will be about from the list provided below
The article submission should be between 600-800 words, anything over that will be sent back for edits if selected.
2-3 photos are requested, if you are unable to provide 2-3 photos a headshot photo will be accepted. Photos need to be high-resolution photos no less than 300 PPI (pixels per inch) to provide a clean and professional look once published. If you are selected and the photos are not high resolution you will be asked to send additional photos.

Indicate your name and title of article in the subject line. If your article is not submitted by the deadline you will forfeit your article for the upcoming magazine. A deadline reminder will be sent out no later than a week before the due date of your submission. We will not do extensions. You will receive an email if we feel you are qualified for our future issues.
